Lost to Blacks Hill

Last game for Snr Res team and Cromwell made the trip to us which was
appreciated especially as they had to call on 4 "ring ins" on the morning of the
game just in order to make a game of it.

Cromwell won the toss and elected to bat. The run rate hovered around the 3 per
over mark throughout, but wickets fell regularly and Cromwell was bowled out for
102 in the 35th over. Wickets were shared around with Cohen Nash 2/20 off 8
ovrs, Tom Simons-Smith 2/13 off 5 ovrs, Felix Moutakki 2/20 off 4 ovrs and
Hylton Hoffman 2/1 off 1.4 ovrs. It was pleasing to see the last 2 players
getting a bowl (& wickets) in our last game.

With regular captain and opener Will McIntyre playing for the Senior team a new
combination of Jack Gilbert & Cohen Nash opened the innings and played
positively to see us through to the target for the loss of no wicket in the 14th
over. Jack played his natural game and hit 12 x fours and a six in an unbeaten
76 while Cohen played the supporting role and scored a well compiled 21.

Great way to finish the season. It was a bit unfortunate that the previous weeks
game was rained off denying us a chance to contest semi finals of Edgewater Cup
but the guys responded well to a game that ultimately did not carry any
competition points or prize.

8 wins / 7 losses for the season so we finished on the right side of the ledger.
